Publication Ethics
AL-KAMILAH: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam Interdisipliner is committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. This publication ethics statement is based on generally accepted principles of scholarly publishing and applies to authors, editors, reviewers, and the journal.
1. Authors
Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts:
- Are original and have not been published or submitted elsewhere.
- Present accurate data and findings without fabrication or falsification.
- Properly acknowledge and cite all sources used.
- Avoid plagiarism, duplicate publication, and inappropriate text reuse.
- Include only individuals who have made a significant contribution as authors.
- Disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
- Obtain appropriate ethical approval and informed consent when required.
- Respond to reviewers' comments and make necessary corrections in a timely manner.
2. Editors
Editors are responsible for:
- Evaluating manuscripts based on academic quality, originality, relevance, and alignment with the journal's scope.
- Maintaining fairness, confidentiality, and transparency throughout the editorial process.
- Selecting appropriate and qualified reviewers.
- Avoiding discrimination based on the author's identity, institution, background, or other non-academic factors.
- Managing conflicts of interest appropriately.
- Taking reasonable action when ethical concerns or suspected misconduct arise.
3. Reviewers
Reviewers are expected to:
- Provide objective, constructive, and confidential evaluations.
- Assess manuscripts based on academic quality, originality, methodology, and relevance.
- Maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript and its contents.
- Identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors when appropriate.
- Declare any conflict of interest and decline the review when necessary.
- Not use unpublished information obtained during the review process for personal or professional benefit.
4. Plagiarism and Academic Misconduct
The journal does not tolerate plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, citation manipulation, or other forms of academic misconduct. Submitted manuscripts may be checked using appropriate plagiarism-detection tools.
If misconduct is identified before or after publication, the journal may take appropriate action, including requesting corrections, retracting the article, or notifying relevant institutions.
5. Corrections and Retractions
The journal is committed to maintaining the accuracy of the published academic record. Corrections, retractions, or other editorial actions may be issued when significant errors, ethical violations, or research misconduct are identified.
6. Conflicts of Interest
Authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any financial, personal, professional, or institutional relationships that could influence the publication process or the interpretation of research findings.
7. Ethical Oversight
The journal expects all research involving human participants, personal data, or other ethically sensitive subjects to comply with applicable ethical standards and regulations. Authors are responsible for obtaining ethical approval or informed consent when required.
